The
band News start in the year 2003,there are with Johnny's Entertainment group and
are composed of six members (formerly nine). There name stand for North, East, West and South.
First single, NEWS Nippon, which was released in 2003, was only available in limited edition at Seven Eleven stores.
In 2006 News was temporarily suspended from further group activities. In 2006
News returning as a 6 member group, and would be appearing on Johnny's Countdown
2006-2007.
